The Hangover Part II Trailer Means Monkey Business

The Hangover Part II teaser trailer is now online and viewable below, offering a similar glimpse into the upcoming sequel that the handful of official photos have already shared. It’s truly a “teaser” given there’s only a couple lines spoken but still manages to evoke memories of the original.

Todd Phillips returns as the writer and director to his hugely successful 2009 hard-R comedy The Hangover. As with that film, the “Wolf Pack” including Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis have one too much to drink and get themselves into all sorts of trouble. Only this time they end up face down in Thailand as opposed to the friendly confines of the United States.

Also returning for the sequel are Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong, with Liam Neeson providing a cameo appearance as a tattoo artist and rumors that Mike Tyson will also show up. Todd Phillips probably has at least one – if not more – surprise cameos in the can.

Warner Bros. has pushed a new character in the first images and now the little guy is featured in the trailer. He’s a skinny monkey wearing a ripped jean jacked and cargo pants who has the ability to walk around with his new human pals upright on two legs. It’s hard to go wrong with monkey humor so this diminutive accomplice likely will be responsible for many laughs.

The Hangover Part II will make its mark on co-star Ed Helms and moviegoers when it hits theaters on May 26 to take advantage of Memorial Day. Except it to do huge box office business when the new international drunken adventures arrive.
