Warner Bros. Pictures has announced casting is wrapped on Shorts, the upcoming Robert Rodriguez penned and directed family comedy being filmed entirely in Austin, Texas.
In Shorts, the suburb of Black Falls where every house is the exact same and everyone works at BLACK BOX Unlimited Worldwide Industries Incorporated under the rule of Mr. Black. When an 11-year old child is hit in the head with a mysterious rainbow rock, the town is turned upside down with tiny spaceships, crocodile armies, giant boogers and anything else Rodriguez’s crazy mind can conjure up.
The diverse and extensive Shorts cast is headlined by stars Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), William H. Macy (Fargo), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up), and James Spader (Boston Legal).
Rounding out the cast list are a number of up and coming names including Jimmy Bennett (new Star Trek movie), Kat Dennings (The 40-Year-Old Virgin), Trevor Gagnon (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Leo Howard (upcoming G.I. Joe movie), Devon Gearhart (upcoming Changeling movie), Rebel Rodriguez (Planet Terror), and rookies Jake Short and Jolie Vanier.
