Warner Brothers has shared an icy treat ahead of this Friday’s theatrical and HBO Max release of the Mortal Kombat (2021) movie.
The first 7 minutes from the film can be watched in their entirety. Given the violence and bloodshed it’s safe to say this is an unedited clip and appears exactly how it will in the final film.
Without giving away what happens, the clip sets the stage for the rivalry between Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) and Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada). The backstory has some nice touches including both characters speaking their native languages and seemingly being unable to verbally understand one another.
Mortal Kombat (2021) arrives in theaters and HBO Max on April 23rd, 2021.
