Through two Hunger Games films we’ve seem Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen dressed in everything from peasants clothing to the lavish work of Cinna. For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, the games are over and it’s time to get down to business. That means some new outfits unlike anything we’ve seen to date.
Today Lionsgate has released a new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I teaser poster that heavy on black. It offers a glimpse of Lawrence as Katniss with her back turned toward us. Her outfit is entirely black and she has her signature weapons holstered over her shoulder and ready to deploy.
This image represents the new Katniss that we will see in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I. She’s no longer a part of the games or toy for the President. Now she’s part of the rebellion — the symbol of the rebellion — and her outfit fits that image by depicting the Mockingjay symbol that she embodies.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I will spread its wings on November 21.
