Captain America Times Square Shoot Footage and Images

Director Joe Johnston, Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Evans descended upon Times Square in New York City this past weekend to shoot a handful of shots for Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger.

It’s pretty obvious based on photos and video to surface from the on-location shoot that the scenes being filmed will take place within the final minutes of Captain America. A scared Steve Rogers running down the street, fleet of S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles and personnel, and a discussion between Rogers and Nick Fury point toward the pivotal moment when Captain America awakens in the modern day and momentarily escapes into the city to discover his fate.

Due to the wide open nature of this shoot it’s highly unlikely that these scenes will take place post-Captain America: The First Avenger credits. Those scenes tend to be of a more secretive nature and in the case of Captain America, should open the door for The Avengers.
