Those who took the plunge on Activision’s new Skylander’s: Spyro’s Adventure game a few weeks ago will be happy to hear that a trio of new Skylanders have been released and should start showing up in stores immediately.
Joining the Skylanders ranks as individually sold toys for use in the game are Hex, Dino-Rang and Wrecking Ball. Hex hails from the Undead Elemental Class and can grow walls of bones in front of her for defense. Those who have played through the campaign already have encountered the evil version of Hex during the Creepy Citadel boss fight.
Portly Dino-rang represents the Earth Elemental Class and wields a boomerang in each hand. Via upgrades, the initially stone boomerangs become volcanic glass with more damaging effects.
Last, but not least, Wrecking Ball joins the Magic Elemental Class ranks. He’s got a Tongue Whap attack and the Power Belch for especially effective burp-driven attacks.
Skylanders has been a big hit for kids and adults alike since its release in mid-October on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii and 3DS, and early adopters have been clamoring for new characters to collect and play in the game ever since. Chances are these new Skylanders will be initially difficult to find in stores, especially if they’re shipped in the same case with launch wave characters.
