The world will be watching The Hunger Games when the film starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth debuts theatrically in just a few short weeks. In the meantime, Lionsgate continues to crank out new marketing materials and the latest delivers a few slivers of new footage.
Below you’ll find a new TV spot for The Hunger Games called “Movie Event.” The 30-second spot culls together footage from the previously released trailers and recently released clips, then pumps it up a little with some new stuff we haven’t seen before.
For example, there’s a great overheard shot of the circular arena map which is brightly lit in all its digital glory. There are also one or two new shots of the Panem Capitol where much of the film takes place, as well as Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen looking out in the forest – and presumably the games arena where she will be fighting for her life armed only with her bow and arrows.

The Hunger Games is now 15 days away from its March 23 release date. If The Lorax broke the $70 million mark in its opening weekend, how high will The Hunger Games reach? Odds are favorable it will become the highest opening film of the year to date.
