Fire up the thrusters on the R-9 as Nintendo has announced Super R-TYPE, the Super NES sequel to the popular space shooter, is being released today on the Wii Shop Channel.
Joining Super R-TYPE is an NES classic, Spelunker. In this game, players don the role of an Indiana Jones-type character to explore massive caves. In true adventurer fashion, you’ll have to swing from ropes and ladders, run across unstable terrain and down ravines, operate elevators, mining carts and rafts.
Both new Wii Virtual Console games will be available today at 9 a.m. Pacific time.
Super R-TYPE will cost 800 Wii Points, while Spelunker is a tad cheaper at 500 Wii Points.
