Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has pushed back the release date of Starship Troopers on Blu-ray Disc according to their press materials. Originally slated for July 29, Starship Troopers will now deploy a week later on August 5.
These same materials now no longer show Starship Troopers: Marauder, the second direct-to-video sequel, as coming out on Blu-ray on July 29. A DVD version is listed for August 5.
We’re going to hope Sony hasn’t fully updated their press materials and Marauder is still on track for a Blu-ray bow. A definitive answer should be available in the next few days.
Starship Troopers on Blu-ray will include a pair of exclusive features: FedNet Mode i.e. bonus view picture-in-picture with enhanced graphics; and a Recruitment Test.
