‘SEGA Superstar Tennis’ Hits for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii

SEGA has shipped SEGA Superstar Tennis to stores nationwide, the next-gen debut of the franchise on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

SEGA Superstar Tennis comes from the makers of Virtua Tennis 3, so you should expect responsive, pick-up-and-play control.

Hitting the courts are 16 classic SEGA characters with specialty in speed, power, control, spin, and all-around ability, as well their own unique Superstar power.

Some of the featured powers include Sonic The Hedgehog’s Super Sonic transformation, the trail of banana peels left by AiAi from Super Monkey Ball and the dancing power of Amigo’s floating maracas from Samba De Amigo.

A fun draw to SEGA Superstar Tennis is unlockable content ranging from archives of classic SEGA soundtrack music and mini-games that up to four players can compete in. A couple of the mini-games include House of the Dead-inspired Curien Mansion or hitting groundstrokes to help guide ChuChu mice in Chu Chu Rocket.

SEGA Superstar Tennis will run $49.99 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and $39.99 for Nintendo Wii.
