Is it a game, an interactive encyclopedia of the ocean’s depths, or virtual exploration in scuba gear? Whichever the case, Nintendo’s Endless Ocean, available exclusively on Wii, will paddle its way into stores this week.
In the game, players will seek out a variety of treasures and record more than 230 different animal species. All of this is made possible via point and click swimming with the Wii Remote.
In what’s slowly becoming more common on Wii, divers can go online and cooperatively explore an area with a friend via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
“Endless Ocean is a siren song for adventurers, family gamers and the just plain curious,” says Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing. “Kids will love meeting and cataloguing all the sea life they meet, while their parents can lose themselves in a seemingly unlimited underwater landscape.”
