Grab some peanuts and crack a cold one. Baseball’s spring training is officially here, and that means the annual MLB video game competition is about to go full swing.
2K Sports has announced their entry into the hardball fray, Major League Baseball 2K8, has achieved gold status (or is that a gold glove?) and been released to manufacturing.
The game is expected to arrive in stores on or around March 4. Unlike Sony’s MLB 08 which is exclusive to Sony consoles and handhelds, MLB 2K8 will appear on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii next-gen machines, along with the PSP and Playstation 2.
MLB 2K8 will feature a number of improvements this year including brand-new designed authentic major and minor league stadiums, pitching, fielding and baserunning, as well as a completely overhauled batting interface.
