Electronic Arts has announced the next dose of Madden football, Madden NFL 09, will ship on August 12 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and countless other systems.
In addition to a standard release, EA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Madden with a collector’s edition. This version will feature full versions of both Madden NFL 09 and the all-new NFL Head Coach 09, exclusive classic Madden NFL gameplay, and an extensive library of exclusive bonus video content. This edition will cost $89.99, be available exclusively for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and be the only way to purchase NFL Head Coach.
The connection between Madden and NFL Head coach extends beyond the anniversary edition coupling. Players will be able to create plays in NFL Head Coach which can then be imported into Madden to create custom playbooks.
