Disney’s D23 Expo is currently underway in Japan, and as an unexpected surprise, it has delivered an all-new gameplay trailer for next year’s Kingdom Hearts III from Square Enix. I am as surprised as you are.
The trailer revolves around three game sequences; one featuring Sora engaging in some classic melee combat; another involving a pirate ship spinning around in the air as if on a pendulum, and the other involving a train riding tracks through the air that is attacking a giant rock monster. Each sequence shows off the stunning new graphics that building Kingdom Hearts III from the ground up for Xbox One and PS4 allows. I don’t think I’m premature in suggesting that this game is destined to be a huge seller.

Kingdom Hearts III features a mature Sora as the main protagonist who sets forth on an adventure with Mickey, Donald and Goofy through new and legendary Disney worlds. Kingdom Hearts III will make full use of next generation console technologies to showcase a stunning universe packed full of worlds based on Disney properties.
