Guitar Hero Metallica is the latest band-themed expansion game which combines original Metallica hits and the band’s most beloved tunes from their favorite artists.
This unlockables cheats guide will add additional meaning to shooting for the “Stars” in the game as the more Stars you accumulate playing different instruments, the more skins, characters and instruments can be unlocked.

Heard about zombie skins/avatars in the game? They really do exist but will take some effort to unlock.
At minimum, Guitar Hero Metallica on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Playstation 2 should work with the unlocking criteria below. Though untested, the guide will likely work with the Nintendo Wii version as well.

- James Hetfield: 100 Stars in career mode singing as vocalist
- Classic James Hetfield: 150 Stars in career mode singing as vocalist
- Zombie James Hetfield: 200 Stars in career mode singing as vocalist
- King Diamond: Complete the song “Evil” by Mercyful Fate playing any instrument
- Kirk Hammet: 100 Stars in career mode as guitarist
- Classic Kirk Hammet: 150 Stars in career mode as guitarist
- Zombie Kirk Hammet: 200 Stars in career mode as guitarist
- Lars Ulrich: 100 Stars in career mode as drummer
- Classic Lars Ulrich: 150 Stars in career mode as drummer
