Walt Disney Pictures is gearing up for a big Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland splash at Comic-Con on Thursday by releasing new images, a short synopsis, and details for the first teaser trailer.
Alice in Wonderland stars Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. In the film, 19-year-old Alice returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
The trailer is expected to first appear during the Alice in Wonderland panel at Comic-Con on Thursday at 11am PST. Disney has also revealed the trailer will appear online a little later the same day, though exactly where the trailer appears is up to you.
