Twilight star Taylor Lautner looks to step out from behind the teenage wolf shadow and begin a career as an action star in Lionsgate’s and director John Singleton’s Abduction.
In Abduction, Lautner plays a high school kid who comes to discover that a missing person photograph on the Internet is likely of him. He then begins to search for the truth about who he really is and stumbles into more than he bargained for.
Along for the ride and heavily featured in this first trailer via MTV is Taylor’s real-life squeeze and daughter of Phil Collins, Lily Collins. The pair look to spend the majority of Abduction running from thugs with a couple big action set-pieces on a train and at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game.
Lautner and Collins star in Abduction along with more seasoned cast members Alfred Molina, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Sigourney Weaver and Maria Bello. Abduction is currently scheduled to hit theaters on September 23, though the trailer fails to mention a release date.
