The Hunger Games film franchise will wrap up this upcoming holiday season when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 makes its debut. We’re only six months away from the final chapter and Lionsgate has yet to release a single second worth of footage from the highly anticipated finale. That will all change next week.
Teases for the first The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 trailer began a couple days ago when star Jennifer Lawrence shared the first still from the film on Facebook. Her tease was followed by a still from Josh Hutcherson, and that was quickly built upon with Liam Hemsworth sharing a third image.
Don’t be surprised if Natalie Dormer, Sam Claflin or one of the other supporting cast members share another teaser image on Monday.
Each Mockingjay – Part 2 image has stated that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 trailer will premiere on Tuesday, June 9. Set your calendars accordingly and get ready for the hype train to start incrementally building from this point forward.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will arrive in theaters on November 20, 2015. While it’s the final chapter in the four-part story, don’t be surprised if Lionsgate and author Suzanne Collins don’t come up with a way to expand the highly profitable cinematic universe much in the same way Warner Bros. is continuing the Harry Potter franchise with a prequel series of films.
