Ghostbusters International Trailer Adds More Chris Hemsworth

Sony Pictures has released a Ghostbusters international trailer from director Paul Feig that fixes a glaring problem from the North American version and injects several new scenes, including many multiples more of Chris Hemsworth as the secretary.

The North American Ghostbusters trailer, seen under the international version below, starts by saying that 30 years ago four “scientists” saved New York. That’s technically an inaccurate statement as Winston wasn’t a scientist.

The new Ghostbusters international trailer fixes that flub by changing “scientists” to “friends.” It’s a simple fix that works wonders.

Hemsworth pops up regularly in the trailer complete with his Australian accent. He makes the suggestion that the girls need to fight back against the ghosts and comes up with a rather humorous first attempt at the Ghostbusters logo.

Another new scene that doesn’t work as well has Leslie Jones jumping into a concert crowd in hopes of riding them across the floor. Instead they part and she falls to the floor where she makes a joke about race and gender that falls flat.

Ghostbusters also stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, and starts busting ghosts on July 15.
