Somewhere in a South American cinema earlier today the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer played on the big screen with subtitles, and one gutsy fella in the audience took a cell phone video of it and put it on YouTube. Once discovered, the trailer began to spread like wildfire as Warner Bros. frantically chased copies like the CDC a virus.
I did some digging and found a copy of the leaked Batman v Superman trailer that is embedded below. If it’s not still live and active when you read this then here’s a quick rundown of the events.
The trailer plays off the idea that Superman is a “false god” whom many people have turned against because of the destruction he’s caused. One of these people is Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), and Mr. Wayne as Batman has taken exception to Superman’s presence on the planet earth.
The trailer ends with a longer version of the Batman vs Superman confrontation teased at Comic-Con last summer. We get a great look at Batman’s helmet armor and get to hear his voice, clearly masked by some kind of distortion device. Think The CW’s Oliver Queen masking The Arrow’s voice.
The legit Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is coming Monday on select IMAX screens and most likely online as well as teased by Zack Snyder yesterday.
