Full Ant-Man Trailer Introduces Yellowjacket and a Train with a Name

As promised, today Marvel released the first full Ant-Man trailer online over a half a month before it will premiere in cinemas attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The trailer introduces thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) through the narration of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) as the perfect man for a job he needs to complete. Lang believes he’s retired from living on the wrong side of the law until Pym’s proposal requires the use of his particular skill set in the art of breaking and entering, and theft.

General audiences already knew from the previous shorter Ant-Man trailer that Lang is able to shrink down to a tiny size using a special suit and technology. In this trailer, Ant-Man learns to control ants to do his bidding and can be seeing running alongside what appears to be a small army or colony.

The big trailer reveal is that of villain Yellowjacket, played by actor Corey Stoll (FX’s The Strain). Yellowjacket h as a shrinking suit of his own with some extra appendages designed to make Ant-Man’s life a living hell.

This new Ant-Man trailer hits its stride when the two pint-sized arch enemies do battle on a kid’s train table. If the snippets shared from this sequence are any indication then Ant-Man falls right in line with Marvel’s cinematic aim to perfectly blend action and comedy at the largest — and smallest — scales possible.

Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed and crawls into theaters on July 17.
