Marvel’s next solo superhero flick Ant-Man is aiming to crash the Star Wars trailer party in a couple weeks when Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres in theaters on May 1. A new Ant-Man trailer is not only confirmed, but it has been screened to Los Angeles-area media and will be available to watch online beginning sometime on Monday, April 13.
We already knew that Lucasfilm and Disney were planning to attach a second Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer to Avengers: Age of Ultron. There will also be a second Ant-Man trailer attached to the Avengers sequel that is designed to delve deeper into the story and unveil some of the film’s big action set-pieces.
Buzz surrounding Ant-Man has been tepid since Edgar Wright left the project as writer/director just before production was scheduled to commence. He was quickly replaced by Peyton Reed, though the swap so close to shooting left a sour taste in the mouth of many Marvel and cinema fans.

This new Ant-Man trailer could be a make-or-break moment for getting the film on the general population’s radar. Avengers: Age of Ultron is anticipated to open north of $200 million and potentially set numerous box office records. All those eye balls will have a chance to judge for themselves whether Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly are hot additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Of course those who follow Marvel films online will get to watch the new Ant-Man trailer in roughly 24 hours. Get excited, folks.
