Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment made an appearance at Sony’s 2016 E3 Press Conference earlier this evening to announce the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens demo had just gone live for PS4 in the PlayStation store.
The announcement was accompanied by a new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer that you can watch below. Spoiler alert: the demo’s final scene is a part of this trailer so watching it in advance takes away a little bit of the humor.
The demo takes place on Niima Outpost where Rey, Finn and BB-8 are trying to escape First Order forces. It offers plenty of classic LEGO gameplay along with the debut of two new features: multiple option buildable objects, and a third-person shooter perspective that works like a shooting gallery, at least in the demo.
Xbox One owners will find the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens demo available to download via the Xbox Marketplace beginning tomorrow, June 14th at 3 pm EST. All versions of the game will be released later this month on June 28th.
