Hyrule Warriors Adds Combatants

Another day, another bounty of new information about Nintendo and Tecmo-KOEI’s hot new game, Hyrule Warriors leaks. The game, as you should know by now, is a mash up between Nintendo’s hit Zelda franchise, and Tecmo-KOEI’s Dynasty Warriors series.

Today it was reveled that three new characters will be joining in on the fun. First off is Agitha, the “Princess of the Bug Kingdom,” last seen in 2006’s Twilight Princess on the GameCube and the Wii. Agitha will use her parasol on the battlefield.

Next up is Zant, the mysterious villain of the same game. Zant reportedly wields dual scimitars, which can be used to cut down hundreds of enemies at a time.

Lastly, Lana is a playable character. She is a magic user who works to stop Cia, a villain in Hyrule Warriors. There has been no word on whether if villain characters, like Zant, are playable after defeat. That is usually the norm in Dynasty Warriors games, but this is not that.

The three new Warriors join the already announced Link (of course), Zelda, Impa and Midna.

Hyrule Warriors is exclusive to the Wii U and was developed by Tecmo-KOEI and Omega Force. It’s published by Nintendo. It hits stores and the Nintendo eShop on September 29th.
