Activision continued their slow reveal of new Skylanders Giants characters today with a new addition to the water elemental class, Chill.
Chill, as “her” description reads, was the personal guardian of the Snow Queen in the Ice Kingdom. The Snow Queen was taken prisoner by invading Cyclops armies, and Chill has never forgiven herself since leaving the Ice Kingdom and swearing never to return until her honor is restored.
Judging by Chill’s reveal images and video, she’s got a bit of a Russian-inspired accent and is armed with a dual-bladed ice spear that can multiply when thrown, and a shield. She’s got some frosty powers as well, of course, including what appears to be the ability to summon a giant hungry whale. I’m guessing that’s an advanced skill that will have to be bought.
Chill is one of the eight all-new regular sized Skylanders that will debut with Skylanders Giants. She and the other seven new characters, along with the new Giants, will not work in Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. All the Skylanders from the first game will work in Giants.
Chill joins Swarm as newly revealed Skylanders that will debut in Skylanders Giants.
Skylanders Giants will be released for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, PC and 3DS on October 21, 2012. A Wii U version is expected to arrive in stores in time for Christmas. Check out all our Skylanders Giants screenshots below, including a trio featuring Chill.
