2K Games has announced the unthinkable. Duke Nukem Forever is now no longer forever away as it has a firm release date of May 3 for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC in the U.S. and May 6 everywhere else in the world.
In addition to a release date, 2K Games in conjunction with developer Gearbox Software is going to open up the playable demo early to members of the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club. There is only one way to join this club: go buy Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition and find the access code inside.
The demo will become publicly available at some point in the near future. We just don’t know when yet.
Passed along with the big announcement this morning is the official box art for all three versions of Duke Nukem Forever, a new “reveal” trailer, and a pair of new screenshots. The screens show a Cycloid up close and personal as well as the town sign for Morningwood (pun surely intended).
