The first teaser trailer for Ninjago Season 11, otherwise known as Ninjago – Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu, has finally spun into view.
Of course it looks a heck of a lot better than the leaked commercial from a few weeks ago.
Lloyd, Nya, Zane, Cole, Kai and others find themselves up against fiery snakes from an ancient temple who seem intent on reigning terror in Ninjago City.
In the trailer’s second half, the setting shifts to an icy domain with a dragon, Lloyd’s new mech and new enemy to face.
Here are some things we picked up on while watch the 60-second trailer.
- Clutch Powers is back and helping the Ninja infiltrate a sandy snake temple
- The chicken from the LEGO Ninjago Movie short is also back, but he’s not quite right
- Antonia is revealed; a character based on a Ninjago fan
- Young Wu and Garmadon make a flashback appearance
- The snakes appear to have hypnotized Gayle Gossip and her cameraman
- Wu is also possessed and fighting the Ninja at their Monastery of Spinjitzu
- The new Land Bounty vehicle is heavily featured
The release date for Ninjago – Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu is sometime in 2019. The date will likely vary by territory.
Look for the Ninjago – Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu LEGO sets to arrive in stores in North America on August 1st.
