The LEGO Group has officially revealed their next CMF minifigures series that obviously is built around next month’s The LEGO Movie 2 debut in theaters.
The first LEGO Movie taught us that characters from a variety of brands and franchises can pop up. If we’re lucky those characters will get minifigures.
For The LEGO Movie 2 minifigures CMF series we’re getting Dorothy Gale & Toto, Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin Man i.e. the main quarter from The Wizard of Oz.
This is a big coup for LEGO collectors as previously The Wicked Witch was made available in minifigure form as part of LEGO Dimensions. For all we know these four additional figures were cast before additional add-ons for the game were cancelled.
Rounding out the other 16 figures in this wave and ready to populate Welcome to Apocalypseburg! are Apocalypseburg Abe (Lincoln), Apocalypseburg Benny, Awesome Remix Emmet, Battle-Ready Lucy, Candy Rapper, Crayon Girl, Flashback Lucy, Giraffe Guy, Gone Golfin’ President Business, Hula Lula, Kitty Pop, Sherry Scratchen-Post and Scarfield, The Swamp Creature, Unikitty, Vest Friend Rex, and Watermelon Dude.
Look for these figures to appear in stores beginning February 1st at $3.99 each MSRP.
