The Kickstarter sensation Veronica Mars, otherwise known as the Veronica Mars movie, will quickly find its way to Blu-ray and DVD on the release date of May 6.
Veronica Mars is a continuation of the shortlived television series from creator Rob Thomas that starred Kristen Bell in the titular role. After Thomas was unable to convince Warner Bros. to pony up the cash for a Veronica Mars movie following years of fan requests, he took to Kickstarter with Bell and raised more than double the amount of capital needed to fund the film.
Thomas brought back a slew of original cast members for the Veronica Mars film including Jason Dohring, Krysten Ritter, Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowel, Tina Majorino and Enrico Colantoni. The star of the film, like the series, is Bell whose Mars character returns to her home town to investigate a murder allegation against her ex-boyfriend and ends up colliding with her past.
The Blu-ray edition of Veronica Mars will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Also included exclusively on the Blu-ray edition is a Digital HD copy. All of the bonus features listed below are exclusive to Blu-ray except for the first one.
