The Ben Affleck crime drama The Town is joining Zack Snyder’s The Legend of the Guardians in debuting on Blu-ray Disc and DVD with a Friday, December 17 release date. The unusual day of the week will give prospective buyers and gift givers a full week before Christmas to pluck The Town off a store shelf.
The Town, starring Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Titus Welliver, Pete Postlethwaite and Chris Cooper, was a box office smash with over $130 million in worldwide ticket sales from mid September and deep into October. That success should carry over to home video where an anxious fan base awaits an encore performance.
Warner is expected to present The Town in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The following bonus features are all confirmed for the Blu-ray version:
