As Universal gears up to push the upcoming season one release of ‘Heroes’ on DVD and HD DVD at Comic-Con today, Ubisoft has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group to develop and publish a video game based on the hit NBC show. No other information was made available such as a time frame for release or targeted platforms, so this one appears to be at least a year off, if not more.
“We are very excited to be making the ‘Heroes’ video game with Ubisoft,” said Tim Kring, executive producer and creator of Heroes. “Time and again, Ubisoft has proven they can turn licensed properties into fantastic games.”
Well said, Tim. With a myriad of interesting and powerful characters and a rich universe to play around in, the sky’s the limit. Literally.
