Summit Entertainment and some of the Twilight stars (most notably Taylor Lautner) are peddling The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as the most “guy friendly” film in the series thus far. They’re doing so by brushing aside all the Kristen Stewart and Taylor Pattinson lovey-dovey talk and focusing on a climatic battle scene between a werewolf and vampire coalition, and uninvited newborn vampires.
Quite a bit of this scene has already appeared in the abundance of trailers and clips Summit continues to dole out on a regular basis. The latest mini-trailer focuses almost entirely on this fight and even offers a few seconds of new footage with a lot more wolf pack action. Check it out below.
It’s hard to imagine Eclipse being truly a “guy friendly” movie even if there are a few action sequences because the core teen romance isn’t going anywhere. Some guys who otherwise detest anything Twilight are stuck seeing it regardless because their girlfriends will make them. Maybe some good old fashioned supernatural brawling will make the movie a little more bearable for them.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has already had its Los Angeles premiere and will arrive in theaters and on IMAX screens (a first for the series) on June 30.
