Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay has sounded off on his Shootfortheedit website forums about not only the Super Bowl spot but also the first theatrical teaser trailer.
Per Bay, the Super Bowl 30-second spot will run sometime early in the third quarter and will show up online a few minutes later (we’ll post it here at TheHDRoom asap). Be sure not to overextend your halftime celebration in the fridge.
The first theatrical teaser trailer will appear exclusively attached to the Bay-produced Friday the 13th remake two weeks from today. That trailer will not appear online until a week later, probably exclusively on Yahoo! Movies first since they seem to have a monopoly on Transformers exclusives.
Here’s what Bay had to say, in his own words.
So,
The Super Bowl spot is coming Sunday in the third Quarter (few minutes into the quarter slot). The spot will be online a few minutes after that – The full length teaser trailer will only be on Friday the Thirteenth. It will not hit the internet until a week later. The Teaser really only teases stuff – I’m holding so much stuff back from the final trailers because I personally hate going to movies where you have seen it all.
Tell me what you think,
Michael
If he’s holding back on the teaser trailer then what’s going to be in the Super Bowl spot? Hopefully not 30 seconds of Shia LaBeouf running and screaming.
