Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 new information highway continues to yield high traffic with the latest sighting offering up a trio of new one-sheet theatrical posters that will make you scream “Photoshop!” before anything else.
Each poster features our favorite web-head (Andrew Garfield) facing the daunting task of taking down a charged-up Electro (Jamie Foxx) in Times Square, New York. If you take a closer look at Electro, you’ll notice it’s the exact same picture of the super villain literally copied and pasted from one design to the next.
A closer inspection of one poster in particular shows Dane DeHaan as Peter Parker’s pal, Harry Osborn, only Harry is looking a lot more like Green Goblin with his menacing stare than an obnoxiously rich and privileged teenager.
This rumble in Times Square between Spider-Man and Electro is shaping up to be a centerpiece of the upcoming sequel, with the New Year’s Eve trailer and now these posters. Poor Rhino (Paul Giamatti) is playing second fiddle, and now there’s talk that Lizard might pop up to join in on the Oscorp-is-really-bad party.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theaters on May 2.
