Batman is investigating Amazon.com’s Blu-ray Deal of the Week as The Dark Knight Trilogy is the recipient of a deep discount over the next several days.
From now through this upcoming Saturday, July 20, Amazon is selling The Dark Knight Trilogy on Blu-ray for $24.99, a 53% discount over the $52.99 list price. The Trilogy set from director Christopher Nolan includes Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
So far The Dark Knight Trilogy sale price seems to have hit the sweet spot for prospective buyers. The title has shot right up to the number one position on Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart. That’s no easy feat considering it jumped over some popular titles like Star Trek Into Darkness and Monsters University to get there.

The timing of this The Dark Knight Trilogy sale is hardly an accident. This week kicks off Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego and this is a perfect title to have on sale during that big fanboy-driven event. In addition, Amazon just recently started taking pre-orders for The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collectors Edition on Blu-ray which is coming in September. This lavish set replaces the one on sale, so clearly Amazon is looking to clear out some stock.
