This morning Sony Pictures will release an all-new trailer for director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man that promises to offer the best glimpse of The Lizard yet.
How do we know this? Because last night Sony released a pair of new images likely from the trailer that should make fans of the classic Lizard look quite happy. These join a pair of Peter Parker / Spider-Man images from earlier in the week that show the repercussions of coming in contact with The Lizard’s claws.
In the first new The Amazing Spider-Man image, The Lizard is wearing his signature white lab coat and appears to be in the process of turning someone else into a lizard-man. The poor guy’s skin is turning green, and his fingernails are starting to look like they need a trim.
The second image is a close-up shot of The Lizard’s hand with Peter Parker’s camera clutched in it. Maybe this is where The Lizard discovers that Parker is actually Spider-Man? There’s obviously something important on that camera that the Lizard is interested in.
The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard. Look for the new The Amazing Spider-Man trailer to drop today at 1pm EST/10am PST, with the full feature opening on July 3.
