Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot starring Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield continues to shoot throughout Los Angeles offering ample opportunities for photographers to capture the action. The latest shooting video making the rounds features – yet again – the webslinger in full blue and red attire.
This one shows Spidey with his hands in the air being held at gunpoint by a motorcycle cop. He then appears to dodge bullets and jumps forward toward the direction of the gunshots.
Daily Blam seems to think this scene is part of a car-jacking sequence. Perhaps Spidey is mistaken for a car-jacker and thus the police officer attempts to capture him. Without knowing what happens just prior to this sequence it’s impossible to know for sure.
Another interesting Spider-Man reboot bit of information comes from Movieweb as well. Apparently Indian actor Irrfan Khan has been cast as Nels Van Atter. In the comics this character eventually becomes Proto-Goblin but according to Irrfan he won’t be donning any mask for becoming a creature. In fact he was initially turned off by the idea of appearing in a “violent American fantasy” but was won over by the “intricacy and freshness of the script.”
For now Dr. Curt Connors (Dylan Baker) as the Lizard remains the only villain rumored to take on another form to fight Spider-Man. If the Lizard is handled with CGI then we might have to wait quite awhile before getting our first look at the Spidey nemesis.
The Spider-Man reboot film will be released in 2D and 3D on July 3, 2012.
