Hot Head has been the most elusive Skylanders Giants character thus far. For one, he’s a Giant character and frankly those are more interesting and sought after than their diminutive counterparts. He’s also part of wave two, shipped in fewer numbers thus far than wave one, and he’s the only Giant character in that wave.
Online retailer Amazon.com has had Hot Head in and out of stock for the past several weeks now. As of this morning, the big Fire Giant is back in stock for a price of $14.99. Pick up another Giant or a couple other Skylanders and you’re looking at free shipping. I have yet to see this guy in a brick-and-mortar store so now he’s finally a part of my Skylanders collection.
The next wave of Skylanders Giants, wave three, is expected to arrive at retail in the next few weeks. There is no concrete information on who will appear in this wave, though speculation and rumors suggest Hot Dog and Thumpback will be present and accounted for. We’ll pass along definitive news about wave three when it’s ready.
