Update: To clear up any confusion regarding this release, Universal will be delivering the 2D and 3D versions of Silent Hill: Revelation on February 12, not February 26. There was a late street date change that threw things off.
Also, bonus features have finally been revealed. They include ‘A Look Inside Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ and the 3D Theatrical Trailer (on the Blu-ray 3D version only). The 2D combo pack will not include a trailer.
Lastly, cover art for the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D versions of Silent Hill: Revelation have been added below.
Original Article (December 12, 2012): Universal Studios Home Entertainment has lined up a February 12, 2013 release date for the horror sequel Silent Hill: Revelation on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and digital download.
Adelaide Clemens stars in the second film based on the hit video game franchise. It was released theatrically to coincide with Halloween but stumbled at the box office, earning a meager $17.5 million. On the bright side, the film only cost a reported $20 million to make.
Apparently Universal feels as if they have sunk enough cash into the project as there are no bonus features available on the Blu-ray 3D or Blu-ray combo pack releases. There will be the DVD, digital copy and UltraViolet versions in both sets, though.
Silent Hill: Revelation on Blu-ray will be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
