You won’t find any Nintendo titles in this week’s Wii Shop Channel update. Both new additions come courtesy of SEGA consoles; one from the Master System, and one from the Genesis.
First up is Fantasy Zone, a 1-2 player side-scrolling shooter that will set you back 500 Wii Points. This SEGA Master System classic puts you at the helm of the Opa-Opa ship (not to be confused with Oompa Loompas) where you’ll have to blast your way through bases, bosses and everything in-between.
Also available today is Mega Turrican, a SEGA Genesis shooter costing 800 Wii Points. While also a side-scrolling shooter, Mega Turrican puts players in a battle suit to take on countless waves of enemies spread over 15 levels.
Both new Wii-kly additions to the Wii Shop Channel will be available at 9 a.m. Pacific time today.
