SEGA has issued a few new details about Sonic Generations, the upcoming new Sonic the Hedgehog game designed to celebrate the little blue guy’s 20th Anniversary this year.
Sonic Generations will span all three eras of Sonic the Hedgehog games with each era’s levels rebuilt in HD. The perspectives and available moves will be faithful to their era as well, from the early side-scrolling days with Spin Dash and Spin Attack, to the more modern 3D style that features Homing Attack and Sonic Boost.
The narrative sends Sonic and his friends tumbling back through time. Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic must come together to defeat their new mysterious enemy responsible for the ‘time holes.’
Look for Sonic Generations on Xbox 360 and PS3 this upcoming holiday season.
