Yahoo this evening debuted the first trailer and a small thumbnail one-sheet movie poster for the “timeslip” love story, The Time Traveler’s Wife.
The film, based on a best-selling novel by the same name, stars Eric Bana as a man cursed with a genetic anomaly that causes him to travel uncontrollably through time when under stress. His lover, Rachel McAdams, must struggle sharing life with him “in no particular order.”
There’s a tinge of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button here, a love story told under a supernatural pretense. The de-materialization effect is quite cool, too, though will probably be the only real effect in the film.
Yahoo also has a few interesting facts on the film including a nearly year delay so Eric Bana could grow back his hair and return for reshoots after shaving his head to play Nero in Star Trek.
