Rocksmith Bundle Coming From Ubisoft and Gibson

Unlike music rhythm video games of the past that came with plastic controllers shaped like guitars, Ubisoft’s Rocksmith relies on utilizing a real instrument that can interface directly with the game. That’s fantastic for real musicians who want an authentic experience and already own a guitar. Everyone else will need to buy a separate guitar in order to enjoy the game.

To help draw in novices that don’t already own a guitar, Ubisoft has partnered with guitar maker Gibson to create a Rocksmith bundle for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC that includes everything you need to play in a single package. This includes an Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar, a Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, a unique 1/4″-to-USB cable, and the Rocksmith video game on whichever platform is chosen.

The entry level Rocksmith bundle will be available this fall when the game launches for $199.99 on each of the three platforms on October 11. You can get a first look at the Rocksmith and Gibson bundle below, and look for pre-order information here in the days ahead.
