Violent games of yesterday and tomorrow collide on the Wii this week with the debut of Powerball and King’s Knight on the Wii Shop Channel.
Powerball (NES), available for 800 Wii Points, is a hybrid of games like rugby and football played on a 100-yard field. Players are assigned to one of 8 nations and must either carry the ball into an endzone or kick it into a net.
King’s Knight, available for 500 Wii Points, travels back in time to free a princess from imprisonment of a dragon. The Shrek-like tale pits players against scores of enemies to complete the adventure.
Both of this week’s new Wii-kily downloadable games will be available at 9 a.m. Pacific time.
