Electronic Arts has announced that the PopCap Games shooter Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is shedding its Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusivity and will debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 19.
These Sony versions of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will have access to the Garden Variety and Zomboss Down DLC expansion packs from day one. Additionally, exclusive to the PS4 and PS3 versions and offered as a pre-order incentive are Sony game-themed customizations including Hat Packs from Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper and Fat Princess.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare on PS4 will run in full native 1080p resolution at 60fps. For those PS4 owners with a PS Vita, the game will be fully playable on PS Vita via Remote Play. However, a separate PS Vita version is not planned for release at this time.
Perhaps the best Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare news is that the PS4 version will fully support local split-screen cooperative play.
