Paramount has released a new theatrical one-sheet movie poster and banner for Marvel’s Thor that are a radical departure from everything we’ve seen so far and expected moving forward.
The poster features Chris Hemsworth as Thor with “The God of Thunder” written vertically down the center. What’s surprising is the blood red tint across the entire poster and the same blood red color in the “Thor” movie title. Someone unfamiliar with Thor and getting their first look with this poster might think he’s a serial killer or it’s a horror movie.
The banner also utilizes the blood red but keeps it within the “Thor” movie title. Behind the title are the film’s good guys: Thor, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Heimdall (Idris Elba).
