EA and Dice have released a new Battlefield 3 multiplayer gameplay trailer that can be summed up in one word: “wow.”
The trailer only runs under two minutes, but is chock full of ground-to-ground, ground-to-air, and air-to-ground combat footage. All nine of the multiplayer maps are shown in some capacity, along with many of the playable vehicles available in multiplayer modes. If you love skydiving then that’s in there, too.
Also revealed in the trailer is the first footage from the post-launch DLC pack Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand. The DLC pack includes four classic Battlefield maps rebuilt in the new Frostbite engine that powers Battlefield 3. The only way to get the pack for free is to pre-order Battlefield 3 before it’s released.
Right now at Amazon.com, Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360 has leapfrogged Batman: Arkham City as the hottest selling video game at the online retailer. Not too bad for a game that’s still 6 days away from its October 25 release date.
