‘NBA 2K8’ Rosters Updated for Xbox 360, PS3

This NBA season has to be one of, the not the most entertaining and active in terms of blockbuster deals made near the trade deadline. Scores of players, both marquee and role playing, have switched teams as the tough Western Conference and uneven Eastern Conference teams prepare for the playoff push.

All these deals, like Shaq to the Suns and Gasol to the Lakers, have almost overnight rendered the rosters in basketball video games outdated. Who has the time to manually go through and make every roster update? Not us!

To resolve the issue in one title, 2K Sports has made a free roster update available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of NBA 2K8, available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Network, respectively. EA has yet to announce plans for an NBA 08 roster update.

While the list of player moves included in the update below may seem comprehensive, some more recent signings were not accounted for. Two we picked up on are Gordon Giricek being picked up by the Suns, and Brent Barry resigning to rejoin the team 30 days later after being traded to, and cut by, the Seattle Supersonics.
