Michigan State’s “Sparty” has won a tightly contested popular vote and secured the honor and privilege of donning the Nintendo Wii cover for EA’s NCAA Football 09.
Sparty joins University of Arkansas running back Darren McFadden who has already laid claim to the Xbox 360 cover. The Playstation 3 cover athlete will be revealed on April 24, followed by the Playstation 2/PSP athlete in early May.
The Wii version of NCAA Football wii feature stylized gameplay designed for casual fans to jump in and out of great head-to-head action, or manage their favorite college team through the Dynasty Mode.
New to the Wii in NCAA Football 09 are Family Play controls, a multiplayer social experience that allows novice users to compete against advanced players and still enjoy success. The Easy Play controls are designed for the more novice fans, but also feature a traditional default setting for the more seasoned veterans.
NCAA Football 09 will feature close to 200 schools from both the FBS and FCS divisions when it arrives in stores this July.
