Michael Phelps: Push the Limit Kinect Trailer

I expected Xbox 360 Kinect to push gaming into new arenas this year but diving into a swimming pool never crossed my mind.

With Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, Kinect owners will get the opportunity to “air swim” against the Olympian and probably digitized versions of talented aquatic folks. If you don’t believe then check out the trailer below in which some random guy takes on Phelps while his girlfriend curiously watches. Another note about the trailer: the segments with Phelps were filmed with a high-speed Phantom HD camera, the first time the swimmer has been photographed with it.

The game will work like you’d expect it to considering Kinect’s capabilities. The Kinect sensors will track your movements and translate them into what your character does in the virtual pool on-screen. You’ll put your strokes to use in a career mode that will send you swimming in pools around the world.

Michael Phelps: Push the Limit will be released exclusively on Xbox 360 Kinect in June.
